As a choreographer, vocalist, dance educator, private movement coach and mother, I’m drawing from a broad base of interdisciplinary art modalities and life experience that foster a holistic approach to my arts practice. Integrating Improvisation, Halprin-based fundmentals and rigorous contemporary dance techniques, I am creating a dynamic movement vocabulary and approach to the creative process that is unique, enabling the classically trained dancer to draw from their individual artistry and expression. My choreography is organic, symbolic and elemental…charged with graceful athleticism and informed by personal body mythology, multi-cultural awareness, contact improvisation, the wisdom of the body in nature, somatic therapies, neo-classical ballet, and modern training.
I offer classes in interdisciplinary art, contact improvisation, The Halprin Life-Art Process (AKA Tamalpa Life-Art® Process), Composition, Contemporary Dance Technique, Motivational Movement for elders, women in recovery, children of all ages, and private movement coaching.
